[Freestyle] Bloodied petals [Fantasy]

Tom setting the sword on the counter caught her direct attention for a moment, but she brought it back to Tom with no interest in refering towards it. His response caused her to tilt her head, making her wonder what made him look outside...Maybe he caught on that she was attempting to leave?

Hearing the offer of a drink, she gave a small shake of her head, saying "I can't sleep really, but I was just thinking of going outside for a short walk or something. I'm not really thirsty..."

Okay, so he searched under the bed, inside the bed... under the bed again. She wasn't there. So the halls it was! The good thing was though that Aji at least had a surprisingly good sense of direction... well at least in the whole not-getting-lost thing after he'd been through an area once. He went through each room upstairs, peeking inside if the door was unlocked, and leaving it alone if it was locked.

That being rather unsuccessful, he sighed and then decided to look downstairs next, feeling those small twinges of anxiety creep up slowly inside him again. Nonetheless he did his best to make his way to the stairs, and when he reached the top of them he was rewarded with voices near the bottom. However, in his excitement, Aji forgot that little thing called "balance," and he overshot one of the steps, tumbling down (quite loudly probably) to the bottom.

Sprawled out on the floor, probably going to feel the bruises of that particular incident for awhile, Aji found himself groaning and staring through a blur that was supposed to be the world around him. Trying to ignore his aching head, aside the fact a rather large green mark (i.e., bruise, cause his dragon blood) was growing on his head, Aji tried to push himself from the ground. After becoming even more disoriented by said action, Aji decided the better of it and he just let himself lie there for a bit, muttering more things in draconic about how much of a loser he was.

Crayis perked her ears up at the sound of the initial tumbling, and cutting attention away from the conversation, she quickly half-spins and darts a short rush to the stairs, her left foot stubbing into the bottom step in the process. Her head recoils lightly, and she overall shortly retreats, giving a mere faint hiss.
She realizes quickly to pay attention, and quickly reaches to catch Aji! And is off by a few inches. Blinking a few times, then wincing once it clicked in her head, she reluctantly looks towards the child she missed as he starts to try to rise, stubborn against the immense pain he must be healing.

The fox-trait gathers magic energy into her hands as she kneels down, watching him let himself back on the ground, and gives a chilly tap with the back of her left hand only to quickly withdraw it: Crayis knew through the touch that her body just attempted to do a 'little' more than a small cold discomfort on the idea of touching something warm. With a downward twitch of her hands, the magic energy suddenly hops out of her palms towards Aji with white glows, and the spell flows through his body to induce some healing.
The fox-trait in the mean time of using her spell started working on weakening the cold output she was giving so she wouldn't freeze Aji to death. "You're up pretty late---Nevermind that, I'm glad that all you had were bruises to show for that...Please, Aji, be more careful, alright? People get hurt very bad falling down stairs. Seeing that freaked me out..."

The woman kept her left foot back in a slight effort of defensiveness. She didn't want it touched under the pain it was feeling.

-Toms attention as well was gathered to the stairs as he rushed along side Crayis, and rubbed the back of his head as aji thunked to the bottom. That kid could never stay put. Rolling his eyes a bit, he turned from the two and walked back into the kitchen. " Well if everyone is awake, how about a stroll?" He purposed, motioning to the door. He picked up his sword belt, attaching it back to its rightful place. If no one could sleep, a nice walk to calm down at this hour might be nice. Plus, something about Crayis told him she seemed a little cooped up.

Crayis noticed Tom's attention, able to multitask between her spellcasting and meriting attention to the world around her at the same time. She glances a little after him as her left, too, but her eyes wouldn't be ones to part from Aji entirely: Crayis looks back to Aji.
Hearing the offer, Crayis was inwardly distressed while outwardly cheerful "It would make ends meet...I can take a walk and Aji wouldn't be left out, and you can keep others of your group from ranting over our absence from your eyes."
It would be nice, indeed...But really, she was wanting to isolate herself into an empty vastness, and this accompanying was caging her to the reality to what is present around herself. Not to mention besides this whole mental argument, that there was literal caging.

A momentary close of her eyes made Crayis recall minute, but critical, points through the past whole day. The injury she just had that stressed her against her foot's pain, for one. Then there was the earlier point of time, when the ice emerged from her fox-inherited mostly-human body, and then a single additional point: that exposure to the anti-magic.
Crayis put it to fresh thoughts...The contact with the borders of the field that singed at her fingers in a way. She wasn't actually hurt in any way, but the way that she felt a surge of heat imprinted on her mind, at least for the time being... ---No, of course only for the time being. It was a familiar sensation.
Quickly, though, Crayis dismissed it, as to avoid getting distracted on her self-reflections.

Even while she was thinking, focusing, and so on throughout her spells, that spell post of the healing magic was taking effect rapidly as it was being worked on: she would 'merely' be deathly cold to contact if Aji were to make immediate contact, probably from a fatal-glomp-'attack' or something, but she hoped he wouldn't immediately try to cling to her so that she could feel naturally live-warm.

"Blah blah blah," Aji's world was still spinning for a bit even as he felt hands touch against him, followed by an enveloping coldness, "Blah blah blah blah blah." Okay, so he didn't understand a word that was being said either. His head was killing him. That's what he knew for sure.

Well at least it was at first. Up until the healing effect started to work a bit more rapidly. After that, the swelling and pain in his head went away, as did the spinning, blurry vision. Aji once again, predictably (this probably was not the first time something like this happened I'd assume), found himself under the care of his mother. And, to Crayis's prediction and also predictably, Aji made his "fatal-glomp-attack" and clutched his arms around her stomach. He could feel the intense cold and immediately he started shaking from it, he still latched on and started sobbing an apology to her incoherently.

-Tom sighed to himself as he waited patiently by the door for the two of them. He swore he saw a spark in Crayis's eyes when he mentioned going out. That made him a little happier. " Just a short stroll around the premise. I could show you were a few main buildings are while still avoiding the iron wards. And -" He paused, seeing Aji shaking. Didnt she just heal him? He leaned back against the door frame. " Are you going to be ok Kid?" He finally blurted.

Tom turned towards the door, his ear picking up a sound. Maybe he wasnt imaging it earlier. Hhm. Interesting. He smiled, waiting on the others as he unbolted the lock

Crayis was practically working by honed reflex when she took him into her arms, even while attempting to work on the spell. The progress disturbed, but Crayis quickly forced a moment of devoted attention to finish up for Aji's sake.
The fox-trait emphasizes the hug with a momentary minor tightness, and says "Aji, I'm not mad at you...I was just really worried, ok?" she repeats a few more times that she wasn't upset, to help him cope with all that just happened. Her ears, though, did stiffen up attentively at hearing Tom. She only caught around 'still avoiding the...' and so on afterwards, notheless.

With a voice that may well have sounded like it was short in timing to be an entirely rude scoff-off, "That sounds good.", was Crayis's given answer, clearly too distracted to even look towards him. However, her face did turn for the question to Aji.
Misassuming, Crayis commented "After an experience like that, I'm sure he's just shaken up.", only to have a delayed realization about the shivvering. It skipped her mind almost as if it was a typical thing. (Then again, it might've been XD )

It did click, though, just late, so the woman tried to follow up with a casual tone, only partially succeeding in the effort: "And, well, I'm not particularly the cosiest." Crayis tucked her bad foot under her good foot even more casually: she'll give that one time.

Crayis probably had done this before... yeah, all things considered, it was likely. So anyhow, his sobbing eventually stopped (after he realized how dayum cold he was) after a good rubbing or two at his eyes (which -thankfully- hadn't turned to ice... saltwater and all). Suddenly after realizing how cold he was he slowly started to let go of mother finally... of course that was until he heard Tom again, at which point he shyly slunk behind her again and grasped around her waist, "I-I'm fine... mother i-is j-j-just reaaaaalllyyyyy c-c-cold," he managed to finally say through chattering teeth.

" Ah" He said in a mildly intrigued tone in response to Aji. Cold? That was interesting. He didn't know to much about the magic world enough to say what was and wasn't normal in a person. He assumed they still intended to go on with their walk, and started to lead the way finally.

He closed his hand around the cold brass knob, turning it slowly till it clicked. He still seemed to be listening for something as he did this so quietly. Opening the door, he opened it slightly wider then necessary, so he could allow them to pass, holding the door open in front of himself. " Well, Lets take that walk, shall we?" He smiled, trying to cheer everyone up.

Crayis sighs, a little bothered by the issues that Aji had to work around. She didn't hate that she was cold at all, it's just the intolerance others had that got to her, as much as it was reasonable, especially what Aji has to deal with.
The fox-trait gets up, and looks to Aji with a frown of worry "Aji, Tom isn't so bad at all...Can you at least be a little less worried, for sake of not getting a frostbite at this rate...?" Not getting it again, anyway.

Crayis nods back to Tom, and walks out through the opened door TOm held open, saying "It would be nice..." Her attention goes out to the sword curiously, and Crayis asks "I'm wondering. Do monsters come out around at night, or something?"

Well Aji heard what she said, and he actually didn't think Tom was bad at all it was just that general shyness a kid can have. Then again, Aji thought he'd be warmer if he was hugging a glacier, so he finally released Crayis, and the wrapped his own arms up around himself in an attempt to get warm while chattering his teeth like crazy. At present, he was completely oblivious to anything else being said.

-Tom shut the door behind them, and laughed lightly to Crayis's question. " You never know who's wandering in the woods, now do you?" He grinned, looking back over his shoulder at the two of them, thinking back to his jumped comrade who's body he still never knew what happened to. Tom focused ahead of himself, walking a few steps ahead of everyone else, but making sure to look back to be in conversation distance. His attention was still only half on the two of them, and partly on the sounds of the night. He didn't display any suspicions, and quiet frankly he was being very friendly and casual

With a discomforted shift, Crayis focused on a weak fire spell, but thought about how she wasn't as great about manipulating fire magic. It was a repetitive inconfidence that always tugged at her mind, and she took the usual result to it, releasing her focus in a diverted way. The fox-trait's magic generated heat around, but not at, Aji, to let the warmth spread into his body in a well controlled fashion. "Sorry about that, Aji."

Turning to Tom, she blinks a bit, looking innocent, and comments "Well I know a couple people, actually, but otherwise, that's a pretty good point..." She was surprised, having assumed that Tom was familiar with the surrounding area pretty well...It was a healthy caution, though.
Crayis walked obediently, stretching and relaxing some along the way, but she was wanting in the back of her mind to know about the trial tomorrow...at the same time she didn't want to ask anything, though, because it definately would have Aji feel worried (if she asked around him) or left harshly out. (If she asked him to go away for a little bit.) Reflecting a bit on it, the woman eventually asks "When is the trial going to be anyway...? ---Actually, I'm a little curious about the kind of people around here too, like, if there's many mages or creature-trait humanoids...So far it looks like your people relies on technological developments to back themselves solely."

-He nodded to her. " There isn't much magic used by the people in this establishment really. See it as a refuge for those who arn't willing to adapt to the concept." He spread his palms and shrugged. " I for one am open to it, but prefer the company of things I know and can control. I think thats how a lot of people here feel. In control." He shook his head a bit, reflecting on the conversation between himself and Bob.

Seemed his reflection may be all to real. He turned, knowing he heard a sound this time. A few guards stepped out in front of them rounding a building corner, while Bob and another Guard stepped out from behind them in a similar fashion. So they were keeping tabs on them the whole time after all.

Bob seemed to have a satisfied grin on his face, catching a child in a candy jar. " Taking the prisoner on a midnight stroll, are you Tom? Or Aiding an escape?" His grin broadened, as Tom rounded on him. He thought about resting his hand on the hilt of his sword, but let his fingers drift away. It would only cause him more problems. That seemed to stretch that disgusting smile even more on Bobs lips.

" I wanted a walk. As protocol, I had to take the prisoners with me whether they wanted to come or not, I couldn't leave them in the household alone. Obviously. As you can see, I'm well armed in case. I know how to do my job Bob, which is why I'm an officer, and you're still below me." That seemed to piss Bob off, who's swollen cheeks started to flush.

" I think You're having relations with the traitor!" Tom cut him off " With her child along!?" " I don't know what kind of sick filth you came from! Doesn't look like her child anyway. Accomplice?" Bobs eyes looked over Crayis and then to Aji, but Tom stepped closer, which only made Bob spout more insults as he sized Tom up as Tom moved to speak. " Don't You dare..--" " Dare I what? I know the kind of filth YOU have relations with though! You wife, a magic user. Got what she deserved, DIdn't she?" Bob had hardly finished the last syllable, before the scabbard of Tom's sword sheathe struck him across the face. Bob wailed, stumbling back. " Seize him! Seize the Traitors!"

With a small nod in return, Crayis confirmed silently about what Tom spoke of. The practice wasn't entirely rare for people to shun magic for one reason or another, or at least dislike it...Really, she felt the experience pretty first-hand, considering that with her line of 'work' she's seldom permitted the chance to know the standards of one village or another. ((It got a lot easier, admittedly, when she ended up having to keep herself out of trouble for Aji's sake))

But when the audiable sound occurred, Crayis quickly turned to face the noise, left hand already half-reached to her back for her absent scythe, out of reflex. She gave a low hiss as Bob took the villainous spot-light, listening to the dialog between the Tom and Bob. She was sure Bob knew better, that they easily could've planned an escape route, if they were doing as he said.

Crayis stood back idly, though, letting her powers accumilate as her hate did. It was when the mage wife was spoken of, though, that made Crayis's patiance snap. Immediately, she darted out somewhat to the side, the several extra tails she had immediately snapping off. (Extra tails, as from the time that she was at the anti-magic field earlier in the topic) The tails hovered in the air, magic energy becoming active in them, and ready for subtle defensive preperations for in case Aji was struck while Crayis wasn't near him.
The fox-trait meanwhile rushed directly at Bob, going past Tom, and releasing some restraints to her left arm. A mist, from the low temperature freely emerging to freeze the surrounding air moisture, seemed to smoke out from the arm like a white smoke of invisible wild flames.
With this arm, she thrusted directly at Bob's head, aiming for a clean palm-open strike, that should it hit, would immediately grab onto the head and quickly unload its severe low temperature throughout his head with easily 'less than safe' results.

In the ending portions of the motion, ignoring that she was rapidly starting to feel a strong burning sensation through the arm, Crayis cut a glare towards the guard near Bob. She released magic that was gathered in duration of her patience, quickly compressing several random small points in the air to a somewhat weak extent to large needle-like shapes, and invisibly launching them in focused wind bursts that struck out to impale through the guard at many points. The result would seem as though she was shredding his torso viciously with her mere eyes, though the power was in fact all about the air minipulation.

"The lot of you dare insult my relation to Aji, and to slay mages with no respect to their nature---openly speaking of it to another caster?!" glaring at the other three, she continued "YOU DEMAND your own deaths!"

-Tom was almost regretful the moment he struck Bob, taking a step back. The guards took a few steps forward, but seemed un-confident in really apprehending their officer. Apparently he wasn't the only one trying to hold back as Crayis snapped beside him, cutting their numbers in half. He watched Bob screaming in agony from what was already a broken nose, and he crippled to the ground, along side his guard whom hit the ground with a dull thud beside him. The boots of the other two guards, which were behind everyone, scuffed against the stone as they turned tail, half stumbling running towards the buildings to escape or get help.


" Shit, Damnit Crayis" He whispered, moving to grab the woman by her shoulders as he stood in front of her, trying to snap her out of her own rage. " I didn't intend to kill them" Well..not yet anyway, pertaining to Bob. He hesitated for a moment, rather overwhelmed himself, and pulled her close, against his chest. He hoped this wouldn't offend her, but it seemed to help him some as he pulled his mind together. " Listen" He spoke, stepping back, hoping she was more stable now. " I'm one of you now. We have to run...Now" He dropped his hands from her shoulders to only his hand grasping her lower right arm, as he turned her about and motioned to Aji. " Run, Both of you" He gave her a light push, his fingertips loosening the grasp on her arm, as if he hesitated to follow. In his mind he wondered if he should stay behind and attempt to sort this out, leaving them more time to escape.

The tails she left Aji started to break up and vanish, leaving no golden blood, but instead glowing energy that faded away, as Crayis stood half-ready to chase after them but clearly deciding on otherwise without a second thought. Besides her left arm emitting mist, she was still unarmed, giving Crayis consideration to attempt to grab the guard's leftover weapon, but when she was suddenly grabbed by the shoulders by Tom, the fox-trait's entire mindset derailed.
The woman gave a light "Huh-wha?" in confusion of suddenly finding herself breathing against Tom's body, forced to look to his face and simply listen, though at least she pulled her left arm out from being between them, or potentially becoming pressed against him in any fashion for that matter. (After all, that would end bad... >.>; ) From Aji, something like this was routine, but from anyone else, it became something freshly awkward.

As Tom spun her around then sent her forward, Crayis recollected herself, and then looked back to Aji and Tom. "He's right, we need to go!" Looking more directly to Tom, she then asked "What about you? Aren't you going to run with us, too?"
Although she was already starting to move away with a walk. Crayis was ready to run as soon as he confirmed them having to leave. She was thinking that his new status gave plenty of loose ends to deal with.

Well it was a pretty enjoyable walk for a little bit at least. Well, Aji thought so. You know, moonlight, nightsongs, shiny stars? Added to the fact that Aji had shiny bronze scales, lots of shiny, no? Well no matter the case he enjoyed it... until that other guy came along with the two guards. Yeah... as you can expect, Aji's first reaction was to clutch against mother's leg. As you can expect, though, his grip was not strong enough and she was quickly gone from his grasp, crying out "Mother!" the moment she did. Fearing for her safety, he took a whole step forward before realizing she totally owned a guy. That, of course, made him cringe, and immediately become saddened. He wasn't going to argue the urgency of the point this time, though. Between her yelling, and Tom's urgency, and the awkward situation that wasn't so awkward to Aji, he decided to agree with the conclusion he'd came to earlier that day: They should run. Thankfully, the Tom guy, and surprisingly, Crayis, both agreed. Aji, not being the fastest kid in the world (and lacking the ability to fly), went to Crayis and took one of her hands. At the very least, she could help him along.

-Tom seemed hesitant, Crayis's momentum moving her from reach as his hand slipped from her arm. He heard yelling, and instinctively turned around to face those who opposed him. The Guards had gone for help after all, bringing Tom's superiors with him. " Tom, Stop standing there gawking like an idiot, and go after them you fool! Don't let them escape!" Again, he hesitated, taking a step back towards the forest line, when the guards from earlier arrived at the heels of his superiors, quickly ruining his could be cover up. " He...He's the one who Killed Bob!" One of them shouted, and Tom took one more step back. Could he still run, or would he be stabbed literally in the back? He glanced over his shoulder at the others, hoping they could make their getaway. He turned back to his Boss, and tried to bullshit through it.

" Bob, my subordinate, was disrespectful and dared to even touch the subject of personal family matters Officer. He was out of line, and though I may have struck him, It was not with intentions to kill. His 'concusion' lead to his collapse and that's unfortunate." The two guards looked to each other, and stared back at the spot where the other body lay along side. The man didnt seem satisfied with that, and drew his sword. " From what I've seen, you slayed Bob along side that witch Crayis" He stepped closer to Tom, believing the stories of the guards more. Tom seemed to cringe at the word witch, taking offense to it.

His superior shook his head, sheathing his blade. " Arrest him for now. The prisoners are escaping you morons!" He shoved the other two guards forward, as they started to chased belatedly after the others

D: The monster description is referenced on page 6 (5th post), but isn't used yet. The elf's (Lisui) description is, though, and is on page 7 (2nd post) for refreshers))

Crayis ignored the shouting that she heard from where she was coming from, continuing to run, probably harder, though that canceled out when she needed Aji to catch up anyway. Eventually, Crayis stopped, motioning for Aji to stop as well. Being pretty used to running away plenty of times, Crayis wasn't nearly out of breath for the distance, and quickly turned to where they came from, staring out into the darkness to pick out anyone and everyone following. "We should wait here for him..."

Suddenly, an elf jumps out from the rooftop! She wore a strange skirt made up entirely of long ribbons, a long sleeve shirt, and a cape. The landing was a little rough, leaving posture lowered, but she quickly rose up to standing. In the whole meantime, Crayis didn't even so much as give her a glance, though she did then look to Aji, saying "This is Lisui, a good friend of mine."
Lisui nods lightly to the fox's words, and Crayis looks to her, asking "Where's the Kirashy?" Bringing her hands to her hair, Lisui replies calmly "Fetching your weapon, of course." Crayis smiles a bit, responding "I'll need that." before looking out to where they came from. "Go try to scout out and see if you can find Tom, but stay out of sight, especially on the way, we might have company."

The elf nods, and brings her hands out of the hair, revealing beads to have somehow gotten between every two fingers. She lowers her hands, then jumps, crushing one of the apparently fragile beads during the jump. Suddenly her jump bursts into a fast launch to over the rooftops, where she vanishes past the edge.
Crayis meanwhile focuses, saying "Speaking of which...I think I hear them coming..." She was preparing violent spells, but then had a thought about what Aji thinks of all the violence, and decides to shift the nature of her spells.

-Tom didn't struggle as he was arrested, seeing more people starting to come from all the commotion. He was clearly outnumbered. He did how ever, keep watching the forest line. He hoped Crayis could get away. Those goons he sent after them would be no more then cannon fodder.

The two lackys were starting to approach the forest line with shattered nerves. They saw what happened last time and were no fool to the past repeating its self. The one on the left called out. " Hey Lady...If you come out with your weapons down.. - Fool she doesnt have weapons shes a witch you idiot (Interrupt by the other)-"..Shutdup I know.." he continued to yell. " Lady, If you're out there, Give yourself up. You wont be Killed. You'll be taken to court immediately and we can sort this mess out ay? So come out. No more killing yes?" The two looked at each other, not wanting to step out of the sunlight and into the dense shadows of the forest.

"Alright, alright! Quit yelling then!" called out a voice, and its source dropping from the branches, was not Crayis, but Lisui, to not too far in front of them, rubbing her ears "You two are a bit of an ear ache..." she blinks a bit, and comments "Oh, I dunno you, I guess you were talking to someone else?"
She tilts her head, and says "Talking about surrenders, kills, court, all sorts, wow this is something big, isn't it?" Trying to gain their attention for conversation, the elf simply states "I'm a little curious" in a tone that made it obvious she was subtly asking from them. Lisui adds to that "Besides, the way things sound, she's probably not going to come out, maybe I might as well be her representative."

All in the while, her arms were kept behind her back to hide the magic beads, a new one already replacing the one she crushed while she was in the branches.

Crayis face-palmed, and recieved a mental remark: "Not the brightest bulbs, are they?" She looks over to Aji, and says "We can literally just walk out of here casually. Let's get ourselves out of here and not get ourselves killed while we're at it..." already starting to walk the escape path, the woman adds "To be honest, I'm worried about Tom, but Lisui's going to see what she can find out."
Of course, she couldn't stand to just walk, especially at such a critical time, but they didn't need to be tripping little rocks and out of breath...She decided to work with preparing several bursts of transportation spells. It seems like the only thing they knew were dispells in terms of magic, and while that was normally bad, so far they've only shown producing poles for it, with no effort yet to capture her with anti-magic based means.

Rather suddenly, the monsterous...thing ran up to catch up to Crayis and Aji, from the side, with the fox-trait's scythe in one of its mouths. Quick to fetch it up, Crayis smiles, and says "Kirashy.", pointing to it, to prevent her child the chance from wondering what it is. Continueing, Crayis explains "It's a magic beast that Lisui's taking care of for now. He'll help us out of here."

Well, Aji -was- still just a small boy, so running through the woods at the speed of crayis was more like him pushing off of the ground, letting himself glide (he could at least -sorta- do that with his wings) some distance as Crayis dragged him along, and then dropping back to the groud to push off again. Of course this was haphazard and Aji might've tripped each step if not for his strong grip on crayis, something he'd done to perfection over these past few months (was it years? I totally forgot).

Aji liked to think he had endurance to brag about, even as a little kid (he was a half dragon...duh), but by the time they stopped, even aji felt himself at least slightly out of breath, so the walk was a bit welcome, aside the fact he didnt have to keep making jump-steps to keep up with Crayis. In fact, he even sorta felt happy to be away from that grisly scene, and went so far as to give Crayis a genuine happy, open-mouthed, toothy smile (which might've been scary if he was grown up, but those pointy teeth in his mouth looked more like puppy teeth).

Of course then the monster thing had to dart out of the woods. Predictably, Aji's action was to deathgrip his mother's leg, something, once again, done to perfection. Nevermind the fact that it was bringing Crayis's scythe, and his mother named it... it looked scary. At least, though, with Crayis being calm, Aji managed to loosen his deathgrip up a little to ask, "...who's Lisui?"

"C'mon Tom. I've had enough of this" His commanding officer spoke with a jerk, as he turned him around to march towards the buildings. A lot of things were going through Tom's mind at that point. Being arrest was better then being killing on site, and it caused enough conflict that hopefully crayis and the others would be able to make a successful escape. on the other hand, if they find him guilty of treason, he would likely serve the sentence intended for Crayis. Oh, why did he have to like her?

The two morons at the forest's edge, ( We'll tenderly call them Fred and George) nearly jumped back as they noticed Lisui. What the hell? " You!" the one of the left, Fred, Commanded. " You go tell that Crayis to get out here! Skipping court will result in the death penalty!" The other one seemed less interested in Lisui, and more in what was behind. He moved around his comrade, to head deeper into the forest; blade naked in hand.
